After came back from Maldives and back to college...
I received a call from Taylor asking me for an interview about my industrial training in Maldives...
I was really excited that time~!
Interview~!
It happened around Dec 2008...
It was just a Q&A interview gone thru by email.
I was interviewed 3-4 times by email with different questions.

It was not easy for me to answer the question.
Bcoz is kinda complicated to answered the question as for me is very hard to explained my experience and feelings about it.
It was a 5-months training in a place that u hardly adapt urself n work in the meanwhile...

And so back to the interview...
After I had reply all the email,
I did not hear any news from the college...
And then around Feb 2009,
Again the college contacted me for some photos I tool in Maldives...
Quickly I choose the amazing photos with some special event on it and sent it to them...
I was also be informed that the interview will  publish in The Star newspaper as well as the college's magazine, Le Petit Hotelier~!
Wow...

And so I was so excited because they were so rush to get my photos to sudmit to The Star.
So I guess it will publish anytime in the following weeks~!
Due to that, I start to pay more attention in sunday paper.
Bcoz there's where Education section coming out.

I had flip thru 2-weeks sunday paper.
Still I did not see any of the news about it...

During my final exam of higher diploma in mid March...
While I was doing some revision with my laptop switch on and of coz my facebook...
I saw a post by my dear fren - Joel~!
He posted that he saw my photo in The Star!!!
It was Wednesday!!!
I was completely confused...
And quickly, I rushed out with excited and get myself one copy and double check...
Is true that my article is there~!
This really motivate me for my exam~!

After my exam has passed...

David Foster~!

OMG...
I just have to blog and talk about David Foster...
Last Saturday, I went to One Utama with my parents...
And I saw this concert was previewing in Speedy...
I was attracted by Peter Cetera voice...
So I went over and have a peek while my parents were busy with the kitchen ware.

The music is so amazing...
Just standing in front of the TV,
Watching at the concert...
You can definately feel the atmosphere in the concert...
The music can make you fall in love and standing there just to watch...

I'm really amaze with the talent of David Foster and the singers in the concert...
It was so fantastic.
"The David Foster & Friends"

I almost dig my purse and get that disc...
But I know if I get it, my parents will be so unhappy...
Why?
Well, my parents are typical parents where they seldom pay for a good quality stuff especially when you gonna talk about CD and DVD.
But for me, an original CD bring more better effect.
The quality the sound will be different.
Although the album is come with a CD & DVD and it cost RM49.90.

For them, is still expensive.
So I din't even dare to say I want to buy.
Then my sis say she will try to find online, and both of my parent agreed.
Well, actually my sis also attracted by the concert.
People in the concert might have paid more than US$300 for this concert.
And we can just watch it at RM49.90.
Isn't that valueble enough to enjoy it at your home with the whole set of stereo and DVD player we have?

And 1 week had passed...
My sis can't find it and download...
Her friend went One Utama yesterday and saw there's sales in CDrama.
Her friend called her up and ask did she need anything.
And so she told him about this disc.
Lucky me that I did not dig my money and get it last week.
CDrama has this disc at 20% discount...
And they are selling at RM45.90.
Is RM4 cheaper...

Finally we get the disc today and played it the whole afternoon...
The most impressed me in this concert is a 16-year old Filipino girl named Charice sang
I Have Nothing & I Will Always Love You.
You will really shock when you see this little girl sang such a mature song...

See this in YouTube:

60 - Earth Hour~!

VOTE EARTH
YOUR LIGHT SWITCH IS YOUR VOTE

This year, Earth Hour has been transformed into the world’s first global election, between Earth and global warming.

For the first time in history, people of all ages, nationalities, race and background have the opportunity to use their light switch as their vote – Switching off your lights is a vote for Earth, or leaving them on is a vote for global warming. WWF are urging the world to VOTE EARTH and reach the target of 1 billion votes, which will be presented to world leaders at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009.

This meeting will determine official government policies to take action against global warming, which will replace the Kyoto Protocol. It is the chance for the people of the world to make their voice heard.

Earth Hour began in Sydney in 2007, when 2.2 million homes and businesses switched off their lights for one hour. In 2008 the message had grown into a global sustainability movement, with 50 million people switching off their lights. Global landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, Rome’s Colosseum, the Sydney Opera House and the Coca Cola billboard in Times Square all stood in darkness.

In 2009, Earth Hour is being taken to the next level, with the goal of 1 billion people switching off their lights as part of a global vote. Unlike any election in history, it is not about what country you’re from, but instead, what planet you’re from. VOTE EARTH is a global call to action for every individual, every business, and every community. A call to stand up and take control over the future of our planet. Over 74 countries and territories have pledged their support to VOTE EARTH during Earth Hour 2009, and this number is growing everyday.

We all have a vote, and every single vote counts. Together we can take control of the future of our planet, for future generations.

VOTE EARTH by simply switching off your lights for one hour, and join the world for Earth Hour.

....................................................................................................................................................................

As the part of the world...
People, please take action and save our mother earth.
Just simply switch off your lights for 1 hour.
For Malaysia, the Earth Hour is on the 28th March, 8.30pm-9.30pm~!

The Taylor's Hotelier~!

Taylor's College,
School of Hospitality and Tourism
The college that I having my Licence Professionnelle Hotelleris Tourism
aka Bachelor of Hospitality and Tourism Management (Honours).

In Malaysia, student who finish SPM or STPM will always wonder what courses should they choose and which college...
Well... Never think there's a course that you can easily get a degree...
2 years ack, as I was just finish my STPM.
I was in the same situation that wondering what should be my future.
Pharmacy? Music? or Hotel?
So, I went to education fair, visiting colleges and finally decided to take Hotel Management.

From a science stream, Bio Chem student of STPM,
suddenly decided to be in a service line.
Everyone been asking me why...
Well, I'm a person who don't like to just sit and memorise study.
I like to be active...
I thought of Mass Com before, but Hotel is much more attractive...

When I had decided to take Hotel Management...
People around me start teasing me,
saying that I have to clean the room, be in the kitchen and serve as a server...
But I just ignore them.
In April 2007, I started my new path in this college, Taylor's College.
What attracted me to this college is the program structure, the facilities and the most important, a 2-week Residency Programme in France.
Taylor's College is providing the Hotel courses from the University of Toulouse, France.

The course structure is divided into 3 years.
For the 1st two years, Year 1 & Year 2, there are 3 terms each.
And every term is 11 weeks.

In Year 1, which is Term 1-3, student will be learning all the basic about the hotel.
From the back of the house to front of the house.
Learning cooking in kitchen, having practical in a restaurant, role play in the front office, and even making a bed in the housekeeping.
After 3 terms, 1st Year Final Exam will be given to test everything that had learn in that 3 terms.

In Year 2, Term 4-6, student are required to choose a specialize field.
There are 2 specialization which are Hospitality Marketing & Management
and Culinary Arts & Food & Beverage.
And in Year 2, there will be French Language Class provided.
After Term 4, there will be an Industrial Training which is a 20 weeks training.
Student will to choose hotels to have their training...
And I had my training in Maldives, which I never thought I had a chance to step into this paradise country.
Thanks to Taylor who give me this opportunity to have an oversea training and great experience.
Term 5 will be commence after the training.
In Term 6, this is where now I'm,
having my critical time to pass this final exam.

The uniqueness of this degree course is that, the student can get 2 certificate.
After completing Year 2, there's a certificate given known as Brevet de Technicien Superieur Hotellerie (BTS) aka Higher Diploma in Hotel Management.
Student may choose to further their study for degree or work after this year.
Student who choose to continue will just spend for one more year for degree.

At the 1st place, I do think this course is much more easier compare to other courses.
But these days, I do not agree with it anymore.
The final exam in Year 2, is not cooking in kitchen, serving in a restaurant, cleaning a bathroom or making a bed.
This exam is a challenging exam where the student need to be knowledgeable in both management and practicals.

The student from Taylor's are trained to be in managerial management.
The Year 2 final exam is a real tough one.
The exam consist of 3 written paper, and 4 practical/presentation.
The most difficult written paper is the Hospitality Management Case Studies (HMCS).
Is a 5 hours case studies paper.
This paper can consist of Principle of Accounting, Cost Accounting, Budgeting, Financial Management, Financial Maths, Applied Decision Making, Customer Relation, Management, Sales & Marketing and Human Resource.
And this paper will divide into around 5 section.
So you will have no idea what will be coming out, but definately Sales & Marketing and Human Resource will be there.
There are so many format to remember, P&L statement, Balance sheet, Cash Flow, Cash Budget, BEP...

This is really a tough one among the written paper and it stand for 7 co-efficient.
Next will be the presentation.
And it ain't gonna be easy as well...
As the college is invitint people for the industry to be part of the jury...

So I'm half way thru this exam...
I have done all the written paper.
And none of it I have confidence...
French listening was the ridiculous one...
My Industrial Report Presentation was commented a lot by the external jury...
And now left 2 practical presentation, French presentation and BM...
Phew....
Wish me good luck and I must pass this Higher Diploma~!
I want to go to Paris~!

The diagram blow shows the pathway of the course.

Wish to stay alone...

I miss the days I was so alone in Maldives...
I miss the days I have no worries and live in my own way...
That past 5 months were really memorable...
Good and bad events will always stay in my memory...
And I'm glad I had found my another half...

But ever since I came back...
The level of depression is increasing...
No one seems realise the changes about me...
Because I just cover up myself but occasionally mood swinging...
Telling no one what had ever happened and my feelings, except writing here in my blog, my own space...
I never talk to anyone even my close friends and just keep to myself.

Staying apart from your family can be a good thing whereby conflict will not happened so often...
Bad words are always spreading in the air in just a minute...
As long as is a bad stuff, no matter how far your relative are staying, it will spread to them very soon.
Good things will always come last unless is a ultimate good news to proud of.
Whenever I got any special award or appraisal, I will just keep to myself as well...
Because is useless to tell...

Every family had their own problem...
As an outsider, it is better to keep quiet if you can't help because it will just making things worse.
The situation is getting better and peacefully...
No more scolding, no more shouting and no more conversation...
This house is just a place to stay where no family communication.
I rather it continues like this than scolding and shouting everyday.
But when people know about it and start to interrupt and giving comforts...
It just reflect that the problem never solve and getting worse...
People are thinking that the problem still there and looking for ways to help...
I dunno whether their help do help or not...
But I just feel they just make the situation more tense up.
And the whole world know what happened.

As a daugther to concern about parent filial...
To parent filial, from today onwards, I will just keep quiet, avoid any conflict and stay away.

This is the least I can do from making the situation worse and to parent filial.
And as I know the only thing I can do now is to study hard and get my degree done.
Find a job not in M'sia and leave here...
And go my own way...

vendredi 27 février 2009

Should I or Shouldn't I???

Should I stop everything before things go worse?
I just lost all the feeling...
Should I end it up before I get myself deeper...
I just feel so empty these days...
The stress of report, the stress of exam, and stress being staying in this house...
All this stress just numb all my feeling including the special one...
I thought that this special one might at least support me and give me mentally supporting...
But the special one doesn't help me and even I had lost this feeling...

Moi et la Saint Valentine~!

After 1 year and plus plus...
SEISYUN is back~!
I'm so happy that Yi Che was back from Japan...
At last, Seisyun is reunion~!
And was on the big day~!
Valentine Day~!

First, we meet up at Hartamas Complex...
Thought of having Paddington House of Pancake...
But unfortunately the Paddington House of Pancake restaurant was close down
and new Coffee Bean coming up...
Hish...
Ended up, we just have high tea at this Friends & Coffee corner...

And for dinner, we went to Soho KL's Ole Ole Bali...
Honestly, this the first time I hang out in Valentine and it was really really pack everywhere...
We were putting in waiting list...
But luckily the turn over was fast.
We only waited for about 30 minutes and table was given...
Although the table was given fast enough, but they haven't clear the table...
It took them so long to clean the table, give us menu and take order...
But anyway, I'm glad to hang out wit my best buddies while someone is not with me at this moment..
And I noticed that, until now, all our first, we had not even celebrate any of it...
Someone's Birthday, mine birthday, Valentine Day...
Hopefully we can celebrate the coming special days of ours...

Emotional...

9/02/09, Chap Goh Meh...
Suppose be a night where happiness of a family reveal...
But this night this year,
It was different and it gonna change my life forever...

Some problems had happened in my family...
This lead to a big gap between me and my mom.
Ever since 13 years old,
I was not close to neither each of my family member.
During secondary school, every morning I will follow my dad to his office because my class was in th afternoon.
And everyday when I was in form 1-2, I finish in the evening 6.45pm and by the time I'm back home it was almost 8pm...
Since form 3, when I was 15 years old,
I was then move and stay with my granpa in KL.
I only came back to this home in weekend...
This was remained until form 6, 19 years old.
So my college life start, again, I stayed hostel which near to college and the same I only came back to this home during weekend.
Until last year August, my dad bought me a car and wanted me to drive everyday to college and back home.
Well... Although at home, my honestly I don't feel home because it just like my second hostel.
I have nothing to talk to my mom or dad...
Anything happened, the only people I talk to is my friends.

But now... Things go worse...
Is been days we are not talking to each other...
Although my dad stil talk to me.
But I don't feel like talking to neither one of them.
I was so stress enough for my studies...
And now family...
I just going to crack soon...
I just gone so moody and down during this week...
Sorry to my friends that I ignored this week...
Because I really dunno how to control my emotion.

It's been a long time...

Wow...
It's been a long time I didn't blog...
Every time went I entered my blog,
I wanted to blog, but lazy...
So lets start from the day I stop blogging...
Erm...
The first event after the stop was Christmas.
Nothing special on my Christmas' eve and the actual day.
Was just spending time at home, but went to Time Square in the evening of Christmas.
The next one would be my trip to Singapore...
It was a longer trip, I mean spending almost 1 week there.
Nothing special as well...
Because most of the place I had visited before.
Went shopping, but nothing much to buy.
Bought a few dress for Chinese New Year.
Went to Singapore Zoo again...
Went to temple for blessing in the evening of New Year's Eve.
Celebrated New Year's Eve by watching Singapore TV channel...
Watch firework at my aunty's place...
Because her place is high enough to watch the nearby fireworks...
It was really nice and it last for 10 minutes...
And so a new term commerce...
A stressful term for the whole BDH 27...
Start to cracking head for the report... final exam... and 2nd year end exam...
Erm...
The last one would be the one I had waited so long...
On the 9th of January...
For the exact of 7 months we had together...
And for almost 4 1/2 months we are separated in 2 places...
At last, my darling sweetheart fly all the way here to visit me~!
We spent a week together...
Although is very short,
But I do appreciate and enjoy every moment we spent together.
Honestly speaking it was really difficult and tears coming when he stepping into the departure hall...
Because it will be another 3-4 months we will see each other again.
Is not easy to have a long distance relationship...
I wish that both of us can last forever and have a happily ever after...

Time...

After tonight...

Finally I made up my mind...
I knew things just won't be as smooth as I thought...
All the differerents take into account...
Different place, different time, different culture, different thinking...
Although freedom is all I can get from it...
But understanding and knowing me and my lifestyle is a complicated task...
Things might be going well...
However small things ended up bad situation...
Just a small talk...
And I knew I had to adjust myself to the tempo and to the understanding...
I had to torelate and explain more...
Only phone calls and online chatting are not enough...
Because we still dunno each other well...
Counting down the days...
How long it will goes...
How long it will retain...
Long distance ain't easy...

Hanging out in Le Meridien Hotel~!

5th Dec 2008
Supposed me, Valerie and Sing Cheer aka Cheryl wanted to go and see the perfume fair.
But unfortunately, most of the wanted perfumes were sold out!!!
They left those unwanted perfume.
We bet that they are trying to save for their last day warehouse sales.

Before entering, I was already curious.
Because the previous day I went with Sean, we were lining up outside.
But today, we can just entered straight away without lining up.

So with disappointed mood, we left the place and head to Le Meridien Hotel.
As early plan, I was actually planned to check-in after dinner and after fetch my brother from my aunty house, and we will stay and wait for my parents arrive after their trip from China.
But since we had nothing to do so I decided to checkin early.

After check-in, we were so boring and thinking where to eat or drink...
Day time and we thought of going to a bar...
But Val said spending Rm22 on a drink not worth it, because she can get a perfume just now.
And suddenly I saw the this card about Starwood Privilage and suggested having high tea or afternoon tea.
Immediately I called to reception and ask about the price...
And 3 of us went and enjoyed our afternoon tea~!
We met one of Taylor's trainee having her training in Le Meridien.
With her advise, we had a great afternoon tea~!

After filling up our stomach, we went around the hotel.
Site inspection... Hahaha...

Thank you so much to Val and Cheryl for listening to me~!
Thanks to Val for your great advise~!
I really appreciate it...
Thanks for your help, at least now I'm not worry about...
And thanks a lot for both of your accompaniment.

I'm so dead... I bought 3 perfumes!!! My dad going kill me!!!

4th Dec 2008
I was so crazy that day...
I went to a warehouse sales of perfume that day.
Val had told me about it, and I really interested in it but worried about my money pocket.
We actually planned to go after class.
That day morning, Val last minute told me she had urgent things to do.
But I was so in to it, I ask Sean to accompany me.
Was totally shock when we first arrives 3rd floor where the function room are.
The queue was very long...
But we deicided to stay and see maybe it will go very fast.
Just like we expected.
We queue for only 30 mins~!
But when we entered, the room was fulled of people!!!
To my amaze, there's lot of perfume...
But the perfumes I wanted are not available.
This company only hold a few branded perfumes such as Versace, MNG, Morgan, Ferrari, David Beckham, Miss Sixty and a few more...
I wanted Lancome, Christina Dior, Channel, Anna Sui and etc...
But those are belongs to another company calles Luxasia, if I not mistaken.
So me and Val now trying to save money and wait for Luxasia's warehouse sales~!
Heehee...
These are the 3 bottles I bought...
But I had one extra, because my mom don't want...
I bought 3 because 1 for me, 1 for my sis, and another for my mom...
Since my mom don't want, so I thought of selling it...
My sis wanted the Love Love de Toi by Morgan, and I wanted the Mango adorable...
So anyone who want the Miss Sixty Summer Collection please contact me~!

When Orang Ulu met Japanese...

Last Friday...
A big event in my college, Asia-Euro Conference...
The college need some student helper as well as some student wear traditional clothing to be usherer.
So as a heroin, me and Exzora volunteer~!
And so on Thursday, I stay over in Exzora's place.
After class, both of us actually went and ate BBQ plaza.
And we even hang out with our laptop in Starbucks for 6 hours!!!
We spent 6 hours there just to enjoy our coffee and online!!!
At 1st, we both wanna do our report and assignment.
Yes, I do did and finish my assignment.
As for report, becoz our coursemate said we don't need to pass up so soon,
so we leave it and postponed it...
Hahaha...
Around 9pm, we both were tired and decided to go back.
We bought our dinner and went.
As soon as we arrived...
Both of us were so excited about the Japanese Yukata that i borrowed from my Aunty who is a Japanese.
So my friends from BDH27, can u recognised who is tis...
Do u still have any idea about tis person???

Is she.. Aileen... Hahaha...

Aileen was the 1st one to tried out the outfit...
I was also pratice to wear it on her...
So that it will be easy for me the 2nd day...
Honestly, is not easy to wear it...
So the 2nd person to try is...
This girl, I can tell u... she is so...
So...
So...
We were laugh till stomach pain with her acting and posing...
Trying to show-off her ribbon with some sexy move...
Again... Trying to be...
Click and enlarge the Pic.. And u will see something... I added some secret recipe... Hahaha...
And now... Japanese converted into Orang Ulu...
When Orang Ulu met her past, Japanese...
My turn in Orang Ulu outfit...
This High-Steam Exzora was going to tear down people's curtains...
Posing...

On the actual day...
Bothof us were in such an out situation...
Exzora was having stomach upset, and I was so uncomfortable in Yukata...
I was so uncomfortable with the eyes around the college...
But still I happy with the experience in wearing the Yukata.

Me and Shiyam, he was attending the conference as a deligate.
Me, Exzora and both our ex-classmate, Shiyam and Erlouisa...
Me and Sam, the rapid fire of the day...
